sleep is a myth

Sleep is extremely important to the physical and mental wellbeing of a human being but from what I have experienced, in college it's hard to come by. High school I wouldn't be able to sleep comfortably unless I finished all that needed to be done for the next day and maybe even the next few days. I learned how to cram studying and doing work into my schedule and still have time for me. Now is a different story.

I spend hours and hours a night completing what is assigned to me and some nights still have to wake up in the morning to finish it all. I go to bed at 5 or 6 in the morning to wake up for my 10 o'clock class by 9:30. I am running on naps and you can tell. I've tried to become comfortable with leaving some assignments unfinished if they aren't due the next day or even skimming a few assigned readings here and there so that I understand the jist but sometimes that doesn't cut it.

At the moment, I have no solution to getting my work done in a timely manner but at least it's getting done. A piece of good news are my current grades. I studied very hard for recent Rhetorical Tradition Midterm. The first of which had done horribly on but I got a 90 on the second one! I also thought I was failing math and was debating dropping the class but it turns out I'm doing more than just passing and there are some projects due in the future that should bring my grade up even more.

The hours of sleep that I got in total while studying for both classes last week could probably be counted on one hand but hey - I didn't say I knew how to do it, but we're doing it aren't we?
